Gimme the mic so I can take it away.

Oh yeah, I should introduce myself. Cal Green, from Dalton, GA. Starting next month I'll be a sophomore at the University of Northwest Georgia. My little brother Will will be a freshman there too. Right now I'm delivering pizzas for the Papa John's in Dalton. I'm kind of bored out of my mind, so what's up blogging. Duncan, Katie, Mark and Jay are my best friends, so I'll probably be mentioning them a lot. We'll see how long I can keep this up. If you know of something better to do around Dalton, let me know.

A summer wasting.

Duncan's in Africa with the Scholars, thinking of an excuse not to climb Kilimanjaro and looking for a store that sells Snickers bars. Katie's in Vienna, painting. Jay's in India with his familiy. Mark managed to find some girl willing to drive him around to Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, and pay for tickets. Even my brother's at some sort of football camp or something.

And I'm stuck here in Dalton, delivering pizzas for seven bucks an hour (plus tips). Yesterday Carl (meth-head manager) told me I've got "management potential." Ye gods. Two years ago I never thought I'd say these words, but I cannot wait for school to start. I'm even kind of looking forward to being in the Tower again, now that I've got my own room.

Oh wait, what's that noise I hear? Dad telling me to mow the lawn for the third time this week? At least at Papa John's I get a check to help numb the pain of my soul slowly being crushed into a compact cube.

Is this thing on?

Stay tuned.
